As the cannabis industry grows, the variety of products can feel overwhelming. You want to be able to trust your products and the manufacturer and company you’re purchasing from.
Have you ever gone into a store with questions about the products, but the employees weren’t educated about their own products? You probably didn’t make a purchase. Knowledge and top-notch customer service are critical. This is something we take pride in at Burman’s Health Shop—whenever you step in our store, you can always expect our team to be honest, transparent and knowledgeable.
You’ll also want to evaluate whether the company you’re purchasing from can provide resources related to the products you’re buying. The more product education and paperwork, the better. You never want to purchase products from companies that don’t know their products inside and out—it’s a major red flag.
How can you tell if the products you’re buying are high-quality and manufactured properly?
Credible, Up-to-Date Website That Includes COAs
Any reputable company will have a website. Make use of the technology available at your fingertips. Ninety-seven percent of Americans own cell phones and are on their phones at various points throughout the day. QR codes make it easy to scan a product and find more information online.
QR codes can be scanned using your phone’s camera to pull up information connected with each product. Look for the product’s COA (Code of Analysis). If the product you’re considering doesn’t contain a QR code with a COA, you probably want to abandon your purchase. There’s a good chance the product you’re considering has no lab reports to verify it’s been tested for safety. COAs are verified documents that show the percentage of all cannabinoids inside the product, pesticide testing, brand’s reputation and more.
Customer and Product Reviews
Customer feedback and product reviews are also critical pieces of information. Avoid products with no reviews. The more product and company reviews, the better. But if you see a negative review, don’t panic. Everyone’s body reacts differently to products. Reviews demonstrate that the company values customer feedback and trust, and negative reviews can equally build trust by guiding customers to purchase the right products for their needs.
When looking for product or company reviews, remember to look at all reviews and feedback as a whole, including negative reviews, so you have opinions from both sides.
